Not gonna lie, always been into things that would allow me to role-play and act out adventures, similar to DnD but without the people (because I have no friends😔). I just want whichever one you guys think is best, I don’t care about paying.

It’s actually possible to make all of the Assistants API calls directly within the Voiceflow canvas but you run into timeout issues. I.e., the bot just breaks as the request to Assistants API takes too long for Voiceflow.

So in this walkthrough I deploy the Assistants API calls on a Replit server. And then target the Replit server directly from Voiceflow (using an API block).

Google believes the answer is yes. According to The Information, the company is developing a platform to generate virtual celebrities and bots that users will create. Google believes that this solution will increase the demand for AI: people will not just ask chatbots questions but communicate like with real friends or idols.

This idea isn’t very new. We’ve already seen similar solutions from Meta and startup Character AI. Nevertheless, seeing an implementation from Google will be interesting. Although… given the company’s recent AI advancements, it’s getting a bit underwhelming.
