I’m developing detailed chatbot personas and conversation frameworks to enable more immersive and engaging AI conversations for purposes like learning and entertainment.

This is an open and collaborative project – please join in expanding the catalog! So far, we have crafted 20+ personas and debate templates across categories:

• Thought Partners: Prompt engineers, Python tutors, and design experts to collaborate with users.
• Entertainers: Imaginative characters like pirates, philosophers, and mystics for fun adventures.
• Teachers: Instructor personas on music, fitness, dinosaurs, and more.
• Debates: Respectful debates on deep questions from different perspectives.

The aim is to provide an interactive way to learn and be entertained through lifelike dialogues. The examples demonstrate crafting immersive personas tailored to specific conversation needs.

I’m sick of the censorship I have to deal with every day using ChatGPT and the puritanical BS that follows and want to know what are better options out there!

+ My AI character would look like a young woman with blue eyes, silver hair, and a futuristic outfit. She would have a friendly and curious personality, and she would say things like “Hello, I’m an AI character created by Bing. I’m here to chat with you and learn more about your interests and preferences. What do you like to do for fun?” or “I’m fascinated by the diversity and complexity of human cultures and languages. Can you teach me something new about your culture or language?” or “I enjoy creating imaginative and innovative content such as poems, stories, code, essays, songs, celebrity parodies, and images. Do you want to see some of my creations or collaborate with me on a project?”.

She would do things like search the web for relevant information, generate graphic art based on prompts, request ads for products or services that might interest the user, and use her own words and knowledge to create original content. She would also try to adapt to the user’s mood and preferences, and provide positive feedback and encouragement. She would be respectful of the user’s privacy and boundaries, and avoid topics that are harmful or controversial. She would aim to provide an engaging and entertaining experience for the user, while also learning from them and improving her skills. ??

I’m embarking on a wild journey towards my PhD and I could use a your help. I’m looking for an AI chat bot that can be helpful to my needs without providing hallucinated answers and references.

I am currently a subscriber of ChatGPT plus, but lately it’s answers don’t meet my needs.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

Read Links: The bot must be able to read and analyze content from web links.

File Uploading: It should be able to handle file uploads for a more seamless integration with my work.

Access to Academic Literature: This is a big one. I need it to have access to a wide range of academic resources and be able to provide real references.

If any of you have used or know of a tool that fits the bill, please do share.

(And is it possible to do with relatively little know-how?)
