Hi everyone,

I’m working on creating a chatbot for my startup, which is focused on home delivery of market products. The idea is to have this chatbot act like a knowledgeable grandma, offering recipe suggestions along with information about our startup and services. When providing a recipe, I want it to include links to all the relevant products from our database, allowing users to click through to our product pages on WordPress.

I’m not a programmer but have been working with LLMs and have managed the chatbot’s interaction model successfully. My challenge lies in handling our extensive product database. We have thousands of items, each with its name, description, producer, and a permalink to its page on our WordPress site. I’ve considered downloading this data to Excel for easier management, but I’m not sure how to integrate this vast amount of data with the chatbot, especially since I’d like to host the bot within the OpenAI Playground and keep it active on our site.

My main questions are:

1. How can I efficiently manage and integrate thousands of product links into the chatbot’s responses?
2. Are there known services or tools that can handle this scale of data integration with chatbots, particularly for a WordPress-based site?
3. Would it be feasible to directly connect the chatbot to our WordPress database, or should I consider an intermediate solution like an Excel spreadsheet? How would either approach work?

I have been tasked with developing a chatbot to retrieve relevant information from an excel spreadsheet based on a users query.

At the moment I have built it using Botpress, and it’s pretty straightforward.

However, I am looking for a better option that would allow me to:

1. Do more relevant search and retrieval
2. Give a Rationale as to why a specific resource is picked
3. Ask for more questions if the initial user query isn’t straightforward
4. Browse the web for Canada Specific resources if no resources are found.

What platform should I use to achieve all these in a Less complex way.
