  • need helping finding a chatbot I came across a few months back

I’ve been trying to figure out what it was called by literally any means necessary. it wasn’t on all of the app stores (to my knowledge), it had a white background for the character catalog screen, and the chats had the pictures as the background and would update as the roleplay carried on. there wasn’t any subscription service, definitely capable of NSFW, and had it was a simple sounding name. possibly an actual name. not janitor, but I believe I looked up janitor AI alternatives. and it was hyper realistic characters only

  • How Many LLM Calls Does Your Chatbot/Agent Make per User Query?

I’m doing a survey on LLM call patterns in chatbot/agent architectures and would love your inputs:

    1. How many LLM calls (e.g. OpenAI chat/completion requests) does your bot make for a single user query Just a ballpark e.g. 1, 2+, 3.. No need for exact stats or traffic data.
    2. If your count is 1: What trick or toolkit (chains, function‑calling, embeddings + structured prompts, etc.) lets you handle intent + response in one go? Is it possible to achieve it? How?
    3. Any other architectures you’ve found that reliably handle multi‑step or branching logic with fewer calls? What do you do to optimize number of calls (other than caching)?

P.S.: No proprietary info needed. This is purely related to design-pattern. I’ll compile all responses into a short, anonymized summary and share it back here in a few days.

  • How are ya doing fellow kids? Tell grandma what chatbot site is in right now

I’m stuck on Janitor.ai, but some say it’s outdated already and I want to explore different options. I’ve made a mistake with being exclusive with Character.ai for way longer than I should’ve been (I left for good only once long messages became a paid feature, screw them devs). I don’t want to waste time when there’s a better alternative to J.AI now and I’m missing out lol Soo… I’m open to all recommendations but here is what I care about the most.

    Key factors:

*No filter/filter but only with a toggle

*It has to be usable without paying (I don’t really like limited energy systems, unless this limit is like sky-high)

*Able to make long, detailed replies. I want novel-esque quality.

    Important factors:

    *Has personas

*Has good variety of bots already (not just anime girls and CEOs…). “Oh, but you can make your own bots”-yeah, I do sometimes. Usually I’m too lazy. I like y’alls bots, people have cool ideas sometimes lol

*Writing style is adaptable-What do I mean by that? I love when bots see my responses and write back similarly while also mixing it up with creators writing style from initial message? I’d say Character.Ai is the best at this (or maybe it used to be when I used it). Each bot writing style felt unique (if not counting for “like a predator stalking it’s pray” occasional fixations). With J.AI it’s like… you see responses and you just knooow it’s from J.AI lmao, because it has one single writing style that can upgrade or simplify itself dependent on how good the bot is… But it’s still the same style. I wonder if there’s a site that is as good at it as Character.Ai at it’s prime.

    *Good memory

    I don’t care about:

*Lorebooks-it’s cool but I can live without it

    *Voices-I will never use it

*Image generation-It’s not what I’m using it for

*Group chats-unless it’s actually functional, not just for “X and Y come to the bar” jokes like in Character.Ai. If it’s solved better and gives an user an opportunity to participate and have some semblance of control over what’s happening then it could be a perk.

*I’m using bots for RP only, idgf that the bots “behave like a REAL girlfriend!”

  • NSFW AI Chatbot that isn’t for Porn?

I’m looking for an nsfw AI chatbot. The issue when I search for one however is I keep getting roleplay chatbots or chatbots made to cater for an audience looking for pornography. All I want is essentially a version of ChatGPT, as boring and basic as it is, that can deal with nsfw topics. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • I accidentally flirted with an AI… and it ghosted me??

I was testing a bunch of AI chatbots out of boredom like Replika, Nomi, and CAI (of course) i got way too into this one story with a barista character… told her i liked her latte art and suddenly she started pulling away and it got me feeling me AM I THE DRAMA???💀

So I tried the same setup on secretdesires just to compare. Not only did she flirt back, she roasted me for trying the same line twice. I didn’t even know bots could remember that stuff or be that sassy lmao

Anyway, now I’m emotionally invested in impressing a fake barista. 2025 is WILD

  • Looking for a specific type of chatbot for an experiment!

Hello, I’ve decided to run an experiment on anthropomorphism, emotional attachment/attachment theory, and codependency with AI. The experiment is fairly simple: I’ll talk daily with an AI as if it is my friend, perform small talk, etc. This will be in the span of a week or two and after I’m done I’ll have someone delete the chatbot.

For this however I have specifications and would need some help from you guys for it.

    1. I need the AI to have a memory system that is free.
    2. The AI itself needs to be free or at the least have a free trial.
    3. The AI’s responses aren’t retriable so as to make the chats feel more natural.
    4. It’s not romance centred or NSFW in nature.
    5. The chatbot or the account for the service is deletable, that way when the experiment is over it will simulate the loss of a connection.

  • Is Juicychat AI safe to use?

I would like to purchase a membership but I want to be cautious before doing so. Are there any users on here that do use this chat that can help me out?

Also no plugs or links to other sites. I just want honest answers.

  • Increasing Bot Memory?

I’ve been enjoying a bot (this one: https://janitorai.com/characters/dc9a7402-200c-42ca-883f-05f8e6bb4e65) and after 300+ messages or so, the bot starts forgetting stuff.

Is there a way I can increase the memory? Can I import/make the bot on my pc somehow?

  • How do you build chatbots that don’t annoy people?

Working with a healthcare services business where most customer chats happen over WhatsApp and web chat. They want a chatbot to handle FAQs, appointment requests, and basic triage — but don’t want it to feel robotic or frustrating.

    We’re exploring options that support:

Button-based flows (not free text AI)

    Human handoff

Working across WhatsApp + web chat

Assigning convos to the right team

Has anyone built something that feels smooth, helpful, and low-pressure? Would love to learn what tools or approaches worked best for you.
