Let’s be honest, most of the chatbots are kind of okay, and you need to be at-least some what technical to integrate them.
After a lot of research, i wanted to replace it with a voice bot,
Let me share my research to you guys and let me know what you think.
80% of enterprise chatbots are abandoned within 18 months. Half of users bail before finishing a conversation. 84% leave if they don’t get an answer in 2 minutes. And 61% say the bot just “didn’t understand them. i found this article and this one
But here’s why i decided to replace my current chatbot:
Take FASTA as an example, a finance company. Customers kept asking simple things “FAQ” and it broke their chatbot. They switched to voice on Bot, and the results were unreal: support calls dropped 20%, and self-service payments jumped 4000%. Here is the link
Why does voice just work better?
Voice interactions score 4.2/5 in satisfaction versus 3.8/5 for chatbots. i don’t care about a “smarter” AI, i want something easy. Speaking is faster than typing, especially for quick questions. Here is more about this
I found two solid options to replace my current Chatbot:
- For FAQ-based voice AI (fast, simple, no fees): I went with Etisal AI. You upload your FAQs (pricing, policies, hours), and in minutes, it creates a voice assistant (a unique link to share to anyone) that answers customer questions directly in the browser. It’s free (no per-call fees), incredibly easy to set up, and has been working very good for me. Perfect if you’re in the early stages and want zero friction, it also support summary calls, and blocking spam calls.
- For full phone system integration (robust, but pricey): Upfirst is a good option too. It integrates directly with your business phone lines, can handle complex call routing, and is built for scale. It’s definitely on the more expensive end, but it’s a complete enterprise solution if you need deep telephony integration.
My experience now? When someone asks, “Where are you located?” or “How can i find this on your website” and gets the answer in 4- 5 seconds, that’s the win. No follow-up. No ticket. Just done.
Let me know if you guys found a better option. or ever tried something similar.
