Seeking Guidance on Building a Chatbot with Database Integration

Hey everyone,

I’m trying work on a projects that involves creating a chatbot specialized in a field that can access a database to generate replies based on user queries.

I’m relatively new to chatbot development and LLMs so I’d really appreciate any advice, resources, or tutorials you could recommend to help me get started.

What i am trying to achieve:

• Database Integration: I want the it to be able to access a database (mongoDB, InfluxDB) containing relevant information.
• Dynamic Responses: The chatbot should be able to generate responses based on the data it retrieves from the database.

I’ve experimented with some open-source LLMs and fine-tuned models like the Falcon model, but I’ve encountered limitations as they’re often confined to the dataset provided during training. Currently, I’m exploring Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) as a potential solution.
